T360591 will introduce an API that enables MediaWiki developers to introduce new Edit Checks and Structured Tasks.

This task involves the work of introducing a sandbox-like environment that would enable developers to prototype new checks and see how they would "run" on a Wikipedia article were it to be made available in production.

The kind of experience we're imagining here mirrors the tooling the Editing Engineering Team has developed for VE:
