Actually there is no way to create a new page (?) Is it planned to add this
feature?

It is planned, yes. But we want to make sure that we create a good user experience for page creation, and that's a lot harder on mobile than it is on desktop. Given that it's a substantial investment in terms of product and design to get this working, it's not bubbled up in our list of priorities right now.

Ok, but it's great, that it isn't forgotten at all :) Let's use this bug to track news for it, ok? :)

@Flycatchr Correct, since we don't currently have a good user interface for creating articles in the apps, we're de-emphasizing red links.

Thank you :-) Is there a separate task on Phabricator for creating a good UX for creating articles in-app?

This is the task. As you can see, we haven't yet invested much thought into a great UI for creating pages in the app. And more generally, editing within the app is currently fairly limited.
This is because a full-featured editing experience in the app has an enormous number of dependencies which are not yet implemented or planned, including but not limited to:

  • Watchlists for the current user.
  • Talk pages (that are mobile-friendly).
  • Edit histories and diffs (that are mobile-friendly).
  • Notifications and alerts for the user.

...and so on.

Alright, thank you for clarifying! Are there separate tasks for these dependencies? As well, is there a clone task on the iOS app backlog? Sorry for all the questions, first time participating on here.

I'm sure a few of them are likely present in our backlog, but the idea of full-blown editing in the apps is so distant that we haven't yet organized the tasks into a coherent structure, and will probably not plan to do this in the near term.
