I was trying to create a wikitech account at [1]:
It says:
- If you already had a SVN account
<https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Code/MediaWiki/author> with the
same username, ask it to be created manually by sending this information
<https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53793#c1> to
ops-requests@rt.wikimedia.org.
Years ago I had an SVN account [2]: rarohde
<https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Code/MediaWiki/author/rarohde> (Dragons
flight <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Dragons_flight>)
I tried entering:
Username: Dragons flight
Email address: rohde@robertrohde.com
Instance shell account name: rarohde
And got the error mentioned at the end of the page, presumably because that
shell name was used long, long ago.
For what it is worth, I am ultimately intending to fix some long standing
bugs in AbuseFilter.
