Set up an interwiki prefix to Wikifunctions
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We need some prefix to link to Wikifunctions.

Some suggestions seem to be wikifunctions:, wf:, f:

Personally, I would love λ: but it is a bit hard to type. ;)

We can use either this task to discuss it, or have the discussion by GZWDer in the following page:

f: has its own task already, T325908 - I want to make sure that we consider the other options appropriately before starting implementing, and created this task accordingly.

WF: is better to be served as namespace alias of Project namespace in Wikifunctions. We do not have WP: as alias to Wikipedia either. (wikifunctions may still be usable as prefix outside WIkifunctions)

Wouldn't wf make sense as an alias for the project namespace like Wikipedia (WP:), Wikivoyage (WV:) and Wikidata (WD:) currently have?

(this would prevent it from being an interwiki prefix, though)

Edit: just saw the above message

wikifunctions: is live in production; f: is blocked and so I'll consider this Resolved now.

Shouldn't it be set to forward on Special:Interwiki as otherwise things like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/wikifunctions:Whatever give 'Bad title' errors?

@Nintendofan885 looks like you're right. Reopening.

That is T342909: Set Forward=yes to wikifunctions: which will be deployed later today.
