Bridgebot uses a ZNC instance as an intermediary for IRC endpoints. The current setup is described at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tool:Bridgebot#deployment.apps/bridgebot.bnc. It would be great to figure out how to replace the manually built ZNC package with a buildservice managed container that installs ZNC from apt.

This work actually got done as part of T357729: wikibugs having a hard time staying connected to libera.chat IRC network. https://gitlab.wikimedia.org/toolforge-repos/wikibugs2-znc is now being used by Bridgebot as well.
