Sorry, you misunderstood what I wrote in the title. The bug report is about the
_names_ of these style elements, not about the values. The bug is about the
problem of wrong _names_.
Please can you correct the wrong names as indicated ? The enwiki and dewiki _are
_using the span.newpage color (they do not use the span.minor color), have a
look to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Recentchanges
With other words, MediaWiki 1.8.x and 1.9.x use span.newpage and span.minor (and
not, as currently in monobook/main.css span.newpageletter and span.minor)
