Description:
The Aramaic Wikipedia interwiki link is incorrectly displaying the localized
name for Aramaic (it displays "ܕܥܒܪܸܝܛ" (it's just jibberish) in the "in other
languages" section rather than "ܣܘܪܬ" (Suret) as displayed as the local language
name). This may be the case for other Wikis, too.
Furthermore there are two more problems with the localization:
- "ܣܘܪܬ" (Suret) is technically incorrect and should be "ܐܪܡܝܐ" (Aramaya) in
all instances as Suret is far too narrow to define the language that the wiki is
written in; which brings me to:
- The Wiki should be the "Neo-Aramaic Wikipedia" rather than specifically the
"Assyrian Neo-Aramaic Wikipedia" anymore. The Administrator team has been trying
to normalize the language so that most Neo-Aramaic speakers (regardless of
whether or not they speak Assyrian, Chaldean, Turoyo, or Western dialects) would
be able to understand it with relative ease. As such, the Wikipedia's scope has
broadened a bit.
