In response to my feature request (bug 4870) Rob Church kindly added a <sort>
feature to MediaWiki. I once requested it be enabled on the Village Pump or
something, but I don't remember what the outcome was. Anyway, it currently
seems not to be enabled on the English Wikipedia. It would be great if you
could enable it.

I would like to take this opportunity to request another table class.
Using class=wikitable give a standard format. But one can not use class=sortable and wikitable on the same table. So I request
class=wikitablesort which is a sortable table in the wikitable format.
This would allow also a table template with an if-function, see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Tableheader.

The request is referring to the Sort extension, not the sorted table feature.
