Description:
Currently the "Special:Whatlinkshere" page contains no sorting - even
alphabetical - or any sorting option.

For things such as templates being able to sort links/transclusions/inclusions
by page type (template, page, category, etc.) would be helpful, especially for
high-use templates and templates that don't automatically add items to a
category (so there is no way to view by type).

I'm thinking something akin to the User Contributions sorting tool where you can
choose to view only contributions to mainspace, template space, image space, etc.
