Special:Blockip loosely worded
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

On Special:Blockip we see
IP Address or username: _________

  • Block anonymous users only

*But that doesn't make sense if we filled in a username above.
Maybe if we click it, no anonymous users will ever be able to use our
site, we worry.

So say "Block anonymous users from this IP address".

  • Prevent account creation

*But that doesn't make sense if we filled in a username above.
Maybe if we click it nobody will ever be able to create an account
again, etc.

So say "Block account creation from this IP address".

Sorry, No. You must be used to going to Special:Blockip via clicking links with parameters that fill in the fields for you.

If you just visit it out of the blue, you will see none of the text fields filled in, and all the boxes prechecked!

Prechecked or not, text fields filled or not, bad still anyways.
