Leaving preferences always complains that you have unsaved changes on English Wikipedia

Description

Go to the English Wikipedia Preferences page.
Now try to leave the page (by clicking back button, closing page, etc.) -- a dialog box appears saying you haven't saved preferences.

See attached screenshot, which shows the "Your preferences have been saved" note next to the Chrome dialog for "You have unsaved preferences."

reproduced in firefox, also didn't need to save to trigger the bug

only on enwiki though, not frwiki and not my local wiki
