I do not know if [[Special:Wantedpages]] is disabled site-wide (it appears to be). There is a request by ja.wiktionary people to enable [[Special:Wantedpages]] there. I am filing this for them.

I believe [[Special:Wantedpages]] were disabled due to performance concerns. A weekly update shouldn't be much of a strain IMHO. I do not know how this used to be.
