irc.wikimedia.org could accept connections from more ports
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: wikiGracenotes

Description:
Currently, irc.wikimedia.org only accepts TCP/IP connections on port 6667 (as far as I can tell). I would appreciate if the server were also configured to accept connections from non-standard ports, such as 8001 (as freenode does). This would allow the access of the Recent Changes channels to those for whom port 6667 is blocked. (Note: 6668 and 6669 may also be blocked on such networks, and working from one, I can't tell if it's merely firewalled or if irc.wikimedia.org isn't listening on those ports).

Thanks,
--Gracenotes.
