Hi, do you wish to be bothered in advance of each and every Editathlon or would it be nice to have a management tool so others, eg sysops, could remove the throttle themselves?

I recently ran into the throttle at an Arts + Feminism editathlon and could resolve the issue by creating the new accounts from my (sysop-) account for the participants. I would prefer to have a tool, where I could remove the throttle for 24 hours from the IP adress I currently use. Is this reasonable? Realistic? And can you give a time-frame for its implementation?
