The thing is that I've observed that my system was very slow in the last time, so I thought that such queries mybe create much traffic on the database.

My main intention was to show that I've monitored something like this. Thats is not a heavy problem, but something that I think should be known

This is not a problem and should not create notable load. Of course, if you are attacked by thousand of spammers, any request would make the site slow. I aggree that your server appears to be very slow. Things you can try are:

• If you do not have this yet, install a PHP cache as in http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Robchurch/Performance_tuning.
• Turn on profiling to see what may cause the delays, see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_debug
• Configure your MySQL server to log slow queries and check whether there are any.
• There are jobs in your job queue: run them to see what they are and how long each takes; report back if you find this to be the cause of your delay.

I close this as a non-bug.

P.S.: The reason for Special:Ask being targetted is probably simply that there are links to this special page in the wiki, whenever there is a "further results" link. Bots may pick those up and try their tricks on them.
