First, when you have two different requests, please make two different bugs. :-)
We normally don't make mailing lists for WikiProjects, so that's unlikely to happen. However, the DYK list sounds like a good idea -- you'd need to get consensus for it first. A good place to start a discussion would probably be [[WT:DYK]].
