We plan to add ability to configure namespace aliases in WDQS via nginx config. For this functionality, it would be useful if WDQS admins be able to restart nginx. In general, it may be useful for admins to be able to control it, in case something goes wrong or server needs to be shut down temporarily for reload, etc.
