The only time I can think of that I would want to save a draft of a page rather than just editing it is when it's protected. The extension should allow this.

But it would be nice if we didn't get seventy drafts of the Main Page every day at en.wiki. ;-) So perhaps some way to disable it for certain pages? Or only activate the edit-protected-ness on certain namespaces?

Does it matter? Drafts are only accessible to the user who created them, and are deleted if unused for a month. I suppose in theory someone could try to monopolize storage space by saving loads of huge drafts, but that would take a looooong time.

Actually, it'd be nice to be able to share certain drafts, so users can just say "That's the edit I want you to make" instead of {{editprotected}} and describing it - particularly useful on Commons where many such edits are very complex template edits which can otherwise prove difficult to communicate.
An option to selectively allow others to view certain drafts (admins only? a particular named user? all users?) would be great.

Should probably be a separate issue. Have added it as bug 17087.
This extension is not currently intended to be a change proposal system - as that sort of thing is *supposed* to take place on the discussion page. Without more of a clear plan for functionality and implementation this sort of thing is not a bug, it's a feature request that's quite debatable in relevance or even necessity.

Rather like this extension. :)
