Wikimedia participates in the Google of Summer of Code program every year. The program is sponsored and run by Google, in which college and graduate students around the world are paid to work on projects for open source software projects.

Wikimedia participates in Outreachy twice a year. In this program, we connect people from groups underrepresented in free and open source software in a three-month, full-time internship.

You don't have to be enrolled in a university to apply to Outreachy, but for Google Summer of Code, that's a requirement. If you are a university student considering to apply to any of these programs, I will walk you through the application process steps in this session!

If you are a considering to be a mentor, you are welcome to attend this session too!
