Description

Today when I was trying to Import some templates in hiwikiversity from enwiki. I get below error.

Steps of reproduction

Go to https://hi.wikiversity.org/wiki/Special:Import
Source wiki: = en:w, Source page: =Template:Cite_web, Check Include all templates Option, then Click on Import button.
after the few mintes later, Error comes.

Is this reproducible? What are the steps to reproduce? Also, the screenshot is missing an URL address.

Could you please verify that the problem still exists? This might have been a temporary issue / cache issues on the client side, if I understand the SRE team correctly.

This time I get Service Temporarily Unavailable Error after few minutes later.

Bad things happen if you try to do huge imports. To make the import work, try turning off "import all revisions of the page" - it's not required for license compliance so long as you link back to the source page (which the import process does automatically anyway).

The root issue here is T121336: Better handling of timeouts during the import process.
