Description

When timidity++ is used to render a MIDI through the Score extension, the Ogg begins with a little burst of sound (listen to any ogg on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Articles_with_Synthlisten).

This is a well-known issue with Timidity++, which has not been resolved for years. HOWEVER, its effects disappear when you use the command-line switch

--output-24bit

In fact, we are deprecating the use of TiMidity++ in favour of Fluidsynth. The former is obsolete (may get removed), and all new (or modified) sheet music uses Fluidsynth now. Soon all old .ogg files will be re-generated.

@dbenjaminmiller: In a few hours, some of the lingering problems should be solved. Pages may need to be purged for the effect.
