Memkeys seems not actively maintained anymore:

https://github.com/tumblr/memkeys reports merges up to 2013
https://github.com/bmatheny/memkeys -> seems not active (but more up to date than the above one)

https://blog.box.com/introducing-memsniff-robust-memcache-traffic-analyzer seems to be a possible replacement, we could package it and test it to compare performances and pros/cons.
