http://www.jpeg.org -- links having "jpeg" are not rendered as link
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Links on Wiki pages such as http://www.jpeg.org , the URL of the JPEG committee
group, are not rendered as a links (I guess it has to do with "JPEG" as possible
image filename extension).

Please can someone of the developers have a look into that problem ?
Tom

It's cutting off the URL too early when it sees an image-like extension. Where external images are enabled, it
actually tries to make it an <img> tag (see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Sandbox/JPEG_link )

Rendering stops at "$" characters. Should '''not''' stop there.

Similar to the "$" sign in links. I admit, that "$" can be replaced by "%24",
but our specialists in my company are using LOTUS-Notes and such links sometimes
''have'' pure $ in it, really.

Comment #2 seems to refer to bug 343.

Just a note that this is already fixed in 1.4.

1.4 release imminent, resolving as fixed.
