Sphinx doesn't seem to be supported lately. Manticore Search (https://manticoresearch.com/) is an active fork of Sphinx. Does it make sense to make sure the extension is compatible with it?

Later, versions 4 and 5 were released. The changelogs list many breaking changes, but skimming them makes me think they might not actually break compatibility with the extension: https://manual.manticoresearch.com/Changelog
