As a user of the haswbstatement feature of Wikidata Search I don't want to get results for deprecated statements or want to have a lower ranking.

Deprecated statements, while still valid statements, have a lower rank (as in statement ranking, not as in Search ranking). It makes sense to reflect this statement ranking in search, either by deprioritizing them, excluding them, or providing a UI that makes it easy to identify those statements.

It is unclear to me that the correct solution is clear cut. The short discussion on the contact the dev team page seems to indicate that there might be multiple interpretation of the correct solution here. I could very well imagine a search use case where the explicit goal is to find deprecated statements.
