A Commons user reported this during design research.
This bug involves discussion replies for Commons talk pages that are not indented properly when posted from mobile web.
This is the bug description:
"When I answer a question on mobile it is not indented. In all Wikipedia, each answer should be indented one more, otherwise this is not the proper way of writing an answer. So I actually have to guess how much the indentation should be and write it like that.
"The typical practice is each new answer should have one more colon to indent but that does not exist in the normal view.
"I have to click the button labeled: "Read as Wiki page," and then I see the full page, and then I can answer in the desktop way, but it's kind of a pity that we have this improved mobile answer box, but it does not indent replies as you expect.
"If we look at the admin noticeboard, this is how we reply, so I would expect it to follow the same style."
Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
1. Open a Commons talk page on mobile web
2. Reply to an existing comment or thread
What happens?:
The reply is not properly indented.
What should have happened instead?:
The reply should receive one extra level of indenting more than the parent comment.
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
When editing the page as wiki text the indenting is normally achieved by manually inserting the proper number of colons (one more than the parent comment).
This also applies the the administration noticeboards within Commons.
