A "Close View it!" button has been added below the carousel, floated to the right side of the article title next to where article status icons usually go (featured articles, protection lock icons, etc.)

Clicking this will hide the View it! carousel, and the button will change to say "Open View it!". The setting is stored in the browser's local storage, so navigating to other pages will keep the carousel opened or closed based on how the user last had it.
