Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

• mark a text
• press search and replace
• try to enter a non breaking space (ctrl-shift-space) - it does not let you enter it.

What happens?: nothing.

What should have happened instead?:
non breaking space is shown when pressing ctrl-shift-space, just like in the visual editor.
