In some cases, not even the Web2Cit fallback template applies, and no citation is returned by Web2Cit. This is the case when Citoid returns an empty title, as described in T313236.

Although an alternative has been proposed to have Citoid return a citation even in these cases (see T305168), this is for the moment the expected behavior.

However, because in these cases the "insert citation" dialog does not include a Web2Cit citation, it doesn't provide an "Edit" link to open the corresponding translation summary webpage.

Consider maybe providing an error message (instead of a citation) in these cases, and a link to the translation summary page.

In the meantime, users can still open the translation server webpage (https://web2cit.toolforge.org/) and enter the URL they were trying to cite there to get to the corresponding translation summary page.

Note that until T317448 is solved, opening the translation summary page is not helpful, as it's impossible to open the form editors from it.
