Instead of doing a lot of work to get access to different newspapers one by one, I suggest to try to get access to Factiva or Nexis, because these databases include thousands of newspapers worldwide! I suggested Factiva in this list, but I guess not many Wikipedians know the potential: https://wikipedialibrary.wmflabs.org/suggest/
Given that T303478 was agreed to, and that Factiva is owned by Dow Jones as well, perhaps that'll be an easy matter. While I agree that having access to thousands of papers vs one or two at a time is on some levels better, there's slightly better data via the individual papers than these mass collections, see how Ancestry or Storied's newspaper archives are just raw scans + variable quality OCR, vs NYTs hand digitized articles. Sometimes quality is better than quantity.
Thanks @Akaibu1 . We are still working with Dow Jones on the final steps but I will ask them about Factiva. Let's hope that will also be part of the access.
