Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where):
Currently you can filter Special:Newpages by a specific user (only see new pages by that specific user)
I would like more advanced filtering options such as:
- Filter OUT a specific user or set of users
- Apply an inversion of any currently applied filter
- Set a date range (start and end) for only displaying pages created within that time frame
Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):
There is a specific user that is very prolific on my wiki. I want to patrol Special:Newpages, but it is full of their new pages. I already trust the output of this specific user's pages, but I want to see everyone else's new pages.
After reading Help:New_pages, I realized it is not possible to do what I want, and that there is a lot more room for improvement regarding filtering on Special:Newpages.
Benefits (why should this be implemented?):
- Makes it much easier for users to patrol Special:Newpages
- Saves users time when looking for a specific type of new page
