Thanks Rowan for the comment!
The actual intended configuration at MediaWiki Foundation project is to disable
these links. The problem of circular redirects is addressed at
Bug 850: Circular redirects not caught between wikis
There is a note about "faking interwiki / interlanguage links" to meta (but
these are *no* redirects). All projects will allow "faked" interlanguage links
trough the "meta:" prefix. See some new examples at
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Gangleri/tests/bugzilla/00850/note_c8
I amnot sure if the resolution for this bug / report is FIXED / WONTFIXED or
INVALID.
From the perspecive of a general non Wikimedia Foundation wiki this feature
could be enabeled (despite the fact that it is a rsecurity whole allowing
infinite loops).
If this (enable / disable multiproject redirects) is configurable please let
some lines about the involved variables etc.
Thanks in advance!
