Wikimedia blog sidebar should have "Support Wikimedia" donate button instead of "Support Wikipedia"
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

The Wikimedia blog (https://blog.wikimedia.org) currently has a "Support Wikipedia" button in its sidebar (screenshot forthcoming). This should be switched to a less Wikipedia-centric donation button/graphic, in my opinion.

This is actually a question of content, not code: The sidebar widget which contains this image can be modified by any blog admin. Therefore Bugzilla is not the right place to suggest this change; you can contact the blog team instead (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog/Guidelines#Blog_team ) like one would for other content changes on the blog. Or if it's about the fundraising messaging in general, how about approaching the WMF Fundraising team? I also should point out that this image dates, as far as I know, from the 2008 fundraiser and is likely to be replaced very soon as part of the upcoming general blog redesign.

Good to know. Okay, I'll mark this bug as resolved.
