Form submission times out

Description:
i installed a clean media wiki 1.5.4 on windows 2000, iis 5.0. everything works
fine on the wiki, but there is one computer that shows strange behaviour. any
form submission, e.g. login, create article, etc., always results in a blank
page. if i press refresh, the browser asks do i want to repost. in some cases,
the login will actually have been successful but there is no response at all to
indicate this. this problem has only occured on one computer, XP professional,
Internet explorer 6.0 service pack 1.
i cannot reproduce the behaviour on any other computer. the IE settings are set
by local security policy, which applies throughout the organisation. other
computers in the organisation do not have the problem.

i suppose it's not possible to solve it if i can't reproduce it, but perhaps it
will be helpful to post it anyway in case future users encounter the same problem.

hi, just to add to my description, it's actually not a time-out. the form is
submitted and a blank page is returned to the browser. so it's not like the web
server is stuck in a loop or anything.
