Use timestamps as offsets in log pages
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Linking to historical logs requires using the "offset" parameter which is always
relative to whenever the request is actioned. Any links are therefore dynamic.

Adding a "timestamp" parameter, as in Revision Histories, would allow static linking
for later referral.

So for example, the above URl might change to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?
title=Special:Log&type=block&user=&page=&limit=100&timestamp=20060107021500

A "dir" parameter might also prove necessary, like in histories.

Version: unspecified
Severity: enhancement
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&user=&page=&limit=100&offset=57000
