MathML images should not be generated new for every request
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: marco

Description:
At the moment, MathML formulas (those with the ugly TeX syntax in the
<math>-tags) are converted to .png images new for every request. Why don't
create the new images just only when a page with a MathML tag is getting edited?
This would save server load (ATM the image server is nearly completely down) and
would increase site speed much.

The file is not generated for each request, there's a huge number of cached
formulas.

And btw, TeX is \not ugly
