Lift IP rate limit - Santiago Editatón - 2015-03-13 and 2015-03-14
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The local chapter (WM-CL), will host an outreach event at Santiago on March 13th and March 14th, 2015.

This event will include a Wikipedia editing workshop (March, 13th) and an Edit-a-thon (March 14th), with editors working together to learn or improve their editing skills, and then to create or improve articles related to woman, primaraly in Spanish and English Wikipedia, but also uploading content to Wikimedia Commons.

We are expecting about 50 people to attend. One of the things we'd like to do is encourage potential newbie participants to create their own accounts during the session and learn editing, guided by some active editors.

Could I please request you to remove the 7 username in a 6 hour period limit with these details?

There's really no need to lift the rate limit on all three wikis; one will do, and I believe it would be easier for the organizers if everyone registered on the same page (ie. Special:Login).

That said, lifting the limit on all of the wikis is not a problem if you insist :-)

Change 193110 had a related patch set uploaded (by Odder):
