Unknown file type, content type error

Description:
Hi,
When we access wikipedia.org using any of English, Francais, Portugues, Espanol or Nederlands (other
langauges seem to be file), we receive an error message along with a file download (rather than the
wikipedia web page):

File Download - Security Warning
Do you want to save this file?
Name: Main_Page
Type: Unknown File Type
From: en.wikipedia.org

Our Firewall is set to allow only 'safe' content types (i.e. standard ones plus any that I have added).
It therefore blocks any web pages that have no content types or unknown ones.
I mention this as our firewall (A Watchguard Firebox x1000) reports a Duplicate Content-Type header
found.

I have added the content types:
application/xml
application/xhtml
application/xhtml+xml

But the error continues. Occasionally the page appears but clicking any links provokes the error message
for another file / folder.

I have a rule which allows me to circumnavigate the restrictions (i.e no content type or surfcontrol
checking) and wikipedia is then fine.

Please let me know if there is a special content type etc you use recently, as our college opens soon
and wikipedia is a frequently hit site.

Kind regards,

Andy

I don't believe this bug is a duplicate, though there may be a relationship with 7098.
I am using IE6 and WinXP, though have tried with W2000, W2K3 and other versions of IE.
I believe the issue is with the MIME / content types.

I probably just need to know what MIME types I should allow from you...

It's a duplicate. IE will not display that message if you're receiving HTML, no
matter what the page extension is; if you don't provide it with an extension it
recognizes, it guesses. Please don't reopen this unless you've verified that
the file is not a gzip file, such as by attempting to open it as a gzip with a
program that can open gzips.

My apologies Simetrical. Have downloaded the file, added gzip extension and opened in Winzip. Contained another file
which I saved as .htm and indeed got your front page....

I'll leave you to it and look back at 7098 later..

Kind regards,
Andy
