Description:
When I create an account I have to fill in both my e-mailaddress and my real name. My assumption
would be that my real name is actually used to show who I am. This appears not to be the case. When
I login and I look at the top of the screen MediaWiki shows my e-mailaddress / login name rather
than my real name.

Can you change this to show my real name or remove the possibility to enter my real name if nothing
is done with it? Option 1, showing my real name, is preferable.

Kind regards,

Ronald van Puijenbroek

On Wikipedia and other Wikimedia web sites, MediaWiki's "real name" preference
stuff is switched off. On other wikis, one or more options can be enabled which
allow users to set their real names in preferences, causing these to be used for
attribution of edits, etc.

Set the $wgAllowRealName option, documented (or not) at
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:%24wgAllowRealName, to toggle this.
