We run a fairly old version of gdash and newer versions have been released since. There are several new features that we could use immediately, the most prominent one being time intervals (rather than define the same metric over and over with different intervals).

I'll look into upgrading gdash
also a candidate for replacement: https://github.com/urbanairship/tessera
see also upstream discussion on gdash maintneance https://github.com/ripienaar/gdash/issues/110#issuecomment-101288298
I've played around with upgrading gdash to latest upstream version and integrate our changes too (particularly "show deploys") but it doesn't seem trivial (at least to my ruby-untrained eye) a sample can be found at http://gdash-latest.wmflabs.org (no availability and data loss guarantees!) but I'm currently unable to make 'time intervals' option work properly, which is why we're doing this in the first place.
anyway, I've setup a test instance of tessera too at http://tessera.wmflabs.org (no availability and data loss guarantees!) which looks good, but for interactive graphs showing deploys support isn't there (https://github.com/urbanairship/tessera/issues/368)
since gdash is unmaintained, and alternatives exists we should invest in those instead, see also T104365
