Uploaded SVG image on Commons not directly shown on Wikipedia (now shown after other edit)

Description

An image on Commons seems to fail on transclusion to Wikipedia.

Image on Commons

Image on w:no:Wikipedia:Torget

A double check is done at w:en:User:Jeblad/svg-test

This is the error description at Wikipedia:Torget, note the red boxes on the right side.

missing image.png (213×1 px, 25 KB)

A wild guess; this is related to parsing of the SVG-files at Wikipedia. Commons accepts and parses the files but Wikipedia fails to parse and render them.

Note that the image appeared after this edit and then there is a post with an error report.

Line 2935: *Warning* http\:\/\/ external reference found. These may be innocuous document declarations (particularly early on, and no problem), but if they form file references, they will not work (and may be blocked) by the Wikimedia software. All required elements need to be included in the SVG directly.

Not sure if this bug can be closed or if it should be acted upon. I let it stay for now, and will close it tomorrow if there is no further comments.

Aklapper triaged this task as Low priority.

Or more likely, this might be just a duplicate of T99761?
