On import, Titan gets GC loops. Checking the heap dumps reveals it keeps 48K+ transaction records (com.thinkaurelius.titan.graphdb.transaction.StandardTitanTx) which suggests all transaction records for some reason are retained in the Graph object even after commit. I've sent an email to Aurelius list with question about it. This issue has high impact on Titan potential stability.
