//As a product manager, I want to know the pros/cons of both options for people who want to register for campaign events that are not registered account holders and/or logged in to their accounts so that I can work with the UX Designer to determine the finalizer user flow for the MVP.
//
**Background:** Design recommends modal experience for account creation and login for people registering for campaign events. However, engineers have expressed concern that it could be large/complex and perhaps the [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Campaigns | Campaigns extension ]] is an alternative. We want to assess the level of complexity in greater depth in order to determine if the modal makes sense for MVP or for a later release.

**Acceptance Criteria:**
* Investigate to determine general scope and risks of allowing login and account creation via modal in original wireframes
* Investigate to determine general scope and risks of allowing login and account creation via alternate method with Campaigns extension, which is:
** Whatever work we would need to do to have the user redirected to a custom login/register page that then redirects them back to the event page and say they are registered after they sign up.
