Data Engineering finished testing and deploy of Superset v1.4.2 in May (T304972), they're currently working on 1.5.3. Here are upgrade notes from git:

Upgrade superset to verstion 1.5.3
This is the last stable release prior to the 2.0 release.
There were a few changes required.
* Upgrade from buster to bullseye due to a python 3.7 incompatibility
* Pin the import-metadata pakage due to an incompatability with v5.0
* Pin the cryptography package to address problems with version 39.0
* Add the memcached-dev package for the required headers
* Add the trino module to address errors relating to presto
