As part of the small wiki toolkits focus area at #wikimania-hackathon-2019, there will be a beginner-level workshop for developers interested in learning how to develop user scripts and gadgets and trainers interested in sharing the knowledge on this topic with their community members. Here is what this workshop will focus on: * Overview of user scripts and gadgets including some interesting use cases * Recipes for development * Live walkthrough of writing a simple as well as a complex user script * Deploying or enabling Gadgets * A hands-on activity to engage workshop participants in working on existing requests for developing user scripts and gadgets Requirements for the room: 15-20 seats, classroom setup, plenty of power plugs. Big screen/projector in front, ~1-1.30 hrs time slot.
