This work is being done to learn about new editor retention in mid sized wikis. The goal is to take what we learn from the contextual inquiries (visiting people in their context and learning about their goals, needs, experiences, challenges, etc) and work with the Wikimedia Foundation Editing team and communities to address challenges, issues and opportunities we discover via research, for better supporting and retaining new editors in mid sized wikis.
