In night mode, `@background-color-progressive-subtle` is defined ([[https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/mediawiki/core/+blame/0c648a0e9c136bed05009bad2d3a9ceb216b67c8/resources/lib/codex-design-tokens/theme-wikimedia-ui-mode-dark.css#33 | core ]], [[https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/g/design/codex/+/b61964bcb2f01d22fa6b788f74c00768f16a8a3a/packages/codex-design-tokens/src/modes/dark.json#16 | codex]]) as `#1d2a42`. However, this color has insufficient contrast with `@color-progressive` used for links (`#6d8af2`)... at 4.49 according to [[https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/?fcolor=6D8AF2&bcolor=1D2A42 | the webaim checker ]]. It would be great if it were possible to change the definition a little bit to make it WCAG AA compliant, as it's really a small change, and would allow us to more freely use this as background color in places that may have links (a recent example being [[https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/core/+/1030542 | mw-datatable ]]).
P.S. There doesn't seem to be a project tag for reporting night mode issues/requests. #fy2023-24-we_2.1_typography_and_palette_customizations seems to be the only one, but to me it feels weird filing a task under another team's KR, so much so that I'm doing this in my volunteer capacity.
