= Problem =
If I'm reading an article, click on a piece of media, then take certain actions* while inside the media viewer, when I close the media viewer I land back at the top of the article, rather than where I was when I clicked on a piece of media/opened the Media Viewer. As a result I have to then scroll back down to where I was in the article.
(*the actions taken to cause this are different on mobile web than on desktop, so I wasn't sure whether or not to put it all in one ticket — let me know if it would make more sense as two separate tickets)
= Steps to Reproduce =
**On mobile web (iOS & Android):**
# Open https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Ocean (or any article with several images)
# Scroll to the History section and expand it
# Tap on an image
# Use arrows to navigate to the next image (repeat several times if you want, shouldn't make a difference)
# Close media viewer
__Expected__
I will land in the History section (or wherever in the article I opened the first image from)
__Actual__
I land back at the top of the article
**On desktop:**
# Open https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Chaplin (or any article with several images)
# Scroll down the page a bit
# Click on an image (image opens in Media Viewer)
# Click, with the magnifying-glass cursor, on the image again (you navigate to the raw URL/page of that asset)
# Click the back button
# Close media viewer
__Expected__
I will land wherever in the article I opened the image from
__Actual__
I land back at the top of the article
(I expect the desktop scenario might be more difficult to solve because you're navigating away from Wikipedia when you click on the image from the Media Viewer)
