On Saturday and Sunday morning of the hackathon we will host a check-in for newcomers who would still like help finding projects or meeting new mentors. This will be an informal session! Srishti and @AKlapper will check-in with newcomers one by one, learn what they are up to, what they are stuck with, what their interests and skillset are, and point them to projects to contribute to from the introduction to technical areas session (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2018_-_Introduction_to_Wikimedia_technical_areas_and_projects.pdf) and connect them with mentors afterward. Mentors needn't be present at this session; they can join if they are looking for newcomers to work with!
