**Description**
The goal of this project is to reduce badly uploaded media content on Commons by making improvements to the uploading process through Upload Wizard (UW). This would help reduce moderator burden further down the Commons funnel. As part of the upload wizard improvement project we released improvements to the Release rights step of the upload wizard - See T347298 for details.
The next step is to improve the Describe step of the upload wizard. Based on the Design discovery T358614, we will focus on:
* Redesign the Describe step so that uploaders can provide us with the relevant information on their uploads more easily.
* Reduce number of steps (where possible) so that users can publish the media in fewer steps.
This may not only enrich the information associated with media but also help moderators in assessing problematic media through all the information provided by the uploader.
* Provide contextual education to users about what media they can or cannot upload so that we can reduce the number of problematic uploads.
* Explore introducing questions that could help with further moderation of FOP.
**Use cases**
As a moderator, I want that uploads to Commons contain all necessary information for assessing problematic media in an easy way.
As a user, when uploading media through Upload Wizard on Commons,
I want to understand which details I am asked to add to my upload in an easy way,
I want to add all the necessary information,
So that it complies with Commons guidelines and so that it could be easily reusable in the ecosystem.
